The Phillips School of Business is happy to welcome Dr. Jason Williams, Assistant Professor of the Practice of Management for the Earl N. Phillips School of Business (PSB) in the fall of 2022, supporting the new minor in supply chain management. With over 15 years of logistical and supply chain management experience, his areas of expertise are supply chain management, operations management, lean processes, continuous improvement, and E-commerce.

 

Before accepting a full-time position with High Point University, Dr. Williams served as an evaluator and program mentor in the graduate business programs at Western Governors University, as well as an adjunct teaching role in supply chain management at Laramie County Community College. Before this, Dr. Williams worked in Industry for numerous years as a process improvement manager for Walmart E-commerce and in Lowe’s supply chain and distribution operations. Dr. Williams also served for 14 years in the U.S. Army Reserve as a logistics officer and was deployed to Iraq where he managed large-scale logistical operations as a part of the Quartermaster Corp.

 

Dr. Williams earned his Doctor of Business Administration with a specialization in global supply chain management from Walden University, his MS in management and leadership from Western Governors University, and his Bachelor of Biblical Literature from Ozark Christian College. Additionally, Dr. Williams is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

 

Dr. Williams teaches Operations and Supply Chain Management, Global Logistics, Project Management, and Construction Management at the undergraduate level, and Global Supply Chain and Operations Management in the MBA program.
