University Meal Plans

Dining Services for Students Living On Campus

High Point University offers a variety of meal plans for students residing in university housing. The cost of the meal plan is included in your comprehensive fee. The university meal plan consists of a set number of meals that can be eaten in the Cafe each week plus a set number of Dining Dollars that can be used at any dining service location on campus.  This weekly meal allowance allows you to enjoy all you care to eat dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner in our residential restaurant - The Cafe.  Each time a meal is eaten; one meal is subtracted from the weekly meal allowance.  Meals are not carried over from week to week nor can refunds be made to students who miss meals in the cafeteria.  Meal plans should be chosen based on the student's lifestyle and eating habits. A meal plan is required for all students living in university housing.

Dining Dollars supplement the weekly meal allowance.  The Dining Dollars can be used in all the dining service locations on campus.  Your HPU Passport card will act as a debit card. Each time you make a purchase, the total is subtracted from the balance in the dining dollar account.  Dining service locations on campus include; Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Subway, The Pointe, Village Grille, Great Day Bakery and 1924 Prime Steakhouse in the new University Center.  Unused dining dollars do not transfer from semester to semester.  If you run out of dining dollars before the end of the semester, you can always deposit funds in your Passport, general account.  Your Passport funds can be carried over from semester to semester.

Designating your meal plan for 2009 - 2010

As part of the online billing statement, you will choose your meal plan online, through your HPU MyStuff account.  Meal plan enrollment for the fall semester is conducted between June 1 and the end of the drop/add period for the fall semester.  You will be given an opportunity in early January to change your meal plan for the spring semester.

Once you have decided which meal plan matches your lifestyle, log on to your HPU MyStuff account and choose to view your online billing statement.  Scroll down to the Meal Plan section and mark your choice.    If you prefer, you may print the response form and return it to the Office of Student Accounts.
