Snow and Winter Weather

Safety Reminder: Avoid parking under trees during ice storms, as ice buildup can cause branches or trees to fall. We recommend parking in the Parking Deck or Lots A/B during the storm. Snow and ice can accumulate on campus roads, which may limit access and make vehicles difficult to move.

Stay indoors during the storm, if possible. Walk carefully on snowy, icy sidewalks. Keep dry, and change wet clothing frequently to prevent a loss of body heat. Watch for signs of frostbite and hypothermia; if signs are seen, seek help immediately. Drive only if it is absolutely necessary. If you must drive, keep others informed of your travel plans.

Please note that travel can be difficult throughout the city of High Point during inclement weather. Ubers and Lyfts are often unavailable during these times. Please plan accordingly.
