Fjellman spoke to students about the various aspects of Gilbarco’s business, the day-to-day activities of a business executive, and the differences between working for small businesses and large international corporations. </description>

        <description>Several High Point University students were recently inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the international academic honor society for communication. The students - 14 juniors and seniors - were welcomed into the society on Nov. 6 with a ceremony held in the library of the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication. 	<title>Big Brothers From HPU Baseball Team Take Part In Special Presentation</title>        
        <description>Members of Carson Stout Boys &amp;amp; Girls Club received a special gift on Nov. 18 at the High Point University baseball field – a donation of baseball equipment from Wilson Sporting Goods. Thirty-five children from Carson Stout received not only their very own baseball glove, but a great deal of other equipment was donated to the Macedonia Family Resource Center as well. Other equipment included catcher's mitts, umpire sets, baseballs, batting helmets and catcher’s masks.</description>

        <description>Dr. Renzo Honores, assistant professor of history at High Point University, presented a paper, titled "Hacia una historia de la profesión legal en los Andes" ("Toward a History of the Legal Profession in the Andes"), at the Segundas Jornadas Chileno-Peruanas de Historia del Derecho (Second Chilean-Peruvian Meeting in Legal History) in Valparaíso, Chile. The meeting brings together legal historians from Chile, Peru, Spain and the United States.</description>

	<title>HPU Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club Takes Home Honors At Holiday Tournament In Charlotte</title>        
        <description>The High Point University Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club Team has represented the university well once again. The team, which competed Nov. 7-8 at the North Carolina Holiday Grappling Tournament in Charlotte, took home several awards. Competitors participated in two divisions each – Gi and No-Gi. "HPU put on a great show and represented the school very well in the tournament," Vining says.</description>
