HPU Names 'Good Morning America' Correspondent Marysol Castro To School Of Communication Board Of Advisors
HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 4, 2009 - Marysol Castro, correspondent for ABC's "Good Morning America" Weekend Edition, has been named by High Point University to the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication Board of Advisors.
Castro, who attended Wesleyan University and has a master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, contributes a number of feature stories in her role on "Good Morning America"; she also provides the national weather forecast.
Castro's reports have included the reopening of the street car system in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina; the Discovery Channel's Shark Week at the Adventure Aquarium in New Jersey; a quest for the best water park in the United States; and a live report from the Indy 500. From 2005 to 2008, Castro also served a unique role as the street reporter for "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve."
