Changes at the university are drawing prospective students. The university is expecting a percentage increase in the double digits in its traditional freshman class this fall. Some of the changes on campus -- free carwashes and kiosks that give away beverages and snacks, for example -- are part of Qubein's branding of the university as a place where students can learn in a fun environment. But what some may see as unorthodox perks, Qubein said, is a way to teach students principles such as the value of generosity, work and appreciation.
