HPU Receives Generous Gift From L. Paul Brayton
High Point University recently received a gift of light industrial real estate in support of the School of Education from L. Paul Brayton, president of Paul Brayton Designs in High Point and member of the university's Board of Trustees. The property includes one building located at 265 Swathmore Ave. in High Point, with a total space of 76,800 square feet. It was occupied for many years as an industrial facility for Brayton International, an office furniture company. read more
HPU Receives Generous Gift From High Point Bank And Trust Company
HIGH POINT, N.C., May 16, 2008 - High Point University recently received a generous gift from High Point Bank and Trust Company. The gift - $10,000 for unrestricted purposes - will be used as deemed necessary by HPU, explains Dr. Donald Scarborough, vice president for institutional advancement at HPU. HPU Honors Lifetime Commitment of David Hayworth
HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 26, 2007 - The Board of Trustees at High Point University announced today that the College of Arts & Sciences will be named the David R. Hayworth College of Arts & Sciences in recognition of the lifetime commitment of David Hayworth to the university. "We are so grateful to David Hayworth's partnership with High Point University and could think of no better tribute than to permanently secure his name within our hallowed halls," said President Nido Qubein. read more
High Point University Receives $2 Million From Pauline Hayworth Estate
HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 18, 2007 - High Point University recently received a $2 million unrestricted gift from the Estate of Pauline Hayworth. Hayworth, who passed away Aug. 11, 2005, was a life trustee and generous benefactor of High Point University. She and her husband Charles were significant contributors to many programs and projects at HPU, including Hayworth Chapel and The Hayworth Fine Arts Center, which opened in the summer of 2002.
