
Construction continues at a dizzying pace on the campus of High Point University. It seems that not a square inch of campus has been spared the rumble of the bulldozer or the clattering of work crews. The sound of trowel on brick – clanking from Lexington to Montlieu – has become as familiar as Westminster chimes. A passerby might imagine that construction workers outnumber students amid the sprouting buildings, walls, fountains, fields, stadiums, trellises, terraces, parks and parking lots that go up and out and on and on.
